As a boy, my stepfather pressed a pistol to my head and threatened to kill me.

That fear drove me.

It made me train, made me faster, made me the world’s-fastest gun disarm.

But being driven by pain is a poor substitute for being led by God’s Spirit.

Identity built on skill is fragile. Identity built on Christ is eternal.

Training Application

Ask yourself daily: Am I driven by fear, anger or pride? Or am I led by God’s Spirit?

Surrender your motives. Skills make you sharp. The Spirit makes you unshakable.

Don’t settle for being a weapon — become a warrior led by heaven.

Warrior’s Reminder

Being driven makes you dangerous. Being Spirit-led makes you unstoppable.

Scripture Focus

“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”
Romans 8:14
