Spartan mothers told their sons: “Come back with your shield — or on it.”

Death was not to be feared. I’ve looked into my bride’s eyes and heard her say something similar, or her eyes say it all. This mainly was regarding a difficult rescue or going into heavy fighting areas to bring hope and healing.

I’ve walked into danger zones knowing the risk was real. Fear whispered, but purpose roared louder.

Have you faced a moment like that — when you realized your life was already in God’s hands, and fear had no claim on you?

Training Drill

  • Write down your greatest fear and answer it with Scripture.
  • Say aloud: “I belong to Christ. I do not fear.”
  • Share your testimony with someone this week.

Warrior’s Reminder

The man who does not fear death cannot be enslaved.

Scripture Focus

“For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
Philippians 1:21
