You know the voice.
The one that whispers when no one’s looking:
“You’re not strong enough.”
“You’ll mess this up.”
“You’re not really a leader.”
That’s insecurity — and it’s the oldest lie in the book.
Years ago, I stood face-to-face with child traffickers in the jungle. I felt fear. I felt small. But I still moved forward. That taught me: Courage isn’t the absence of insecurity. It’s action in spite of it.
Here’s the tactic: Name it. Call out the lie.
Say it out loud:
“I feel insecure about _____. But that doesn’t define me.”
Naming it steals its power. Hiding it feeds it.
Today’s challenge:
Write down one insecurity that’s been holding you back. Speak truth over it.
Then do the thing it told you not to.
Scripture Focus:
“I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.”
Psalm 34:4
