Whenever we feel the urge to control, twist or pressure others into a result, we’ve already stepped out of alignment with God’s authority.
Manipulation is counterfeit leadership. It may feel smart. Tactical. Even noble — especially when “it’s for their good.” But make no mistake: It’s fear-based control. And fear, not faith, is what’s driving you in that moment.
I’ve seen this in combat zones and counseling rooms alike — men who couldn’t trust God with the outcome, so they forced the result. That’s not masculine strength. That’s spiritual weakness dressed in ego.
The Word says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5)
Mission Check:
Today’s Move:
Step back. Repent for where you’ve played God. Trust Him again with the result — and let your leadership come from surrender, not strategy.
Scripture Focus:
“This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: ‘In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.’”
Isaiah 30:15
