Silence is a Weapon #062

Spartans were famous for their sharp, few words. Their silence carried weight.
I have, on several occasions, stood face-to-face or had social media interactions with hostile men — some were certainly demonized. In some of those moments, silence kept me alive.

A reckless word would have escalated everything. Have you ever faced a moment like that? Where silence was the sharpest weapon you had?

• Practice a day of saying only what is necessary.
• End the day with five minutes of silence before God.
