Anger is a fire. It can warm a man’s resolve or burn his life to ashes.
I’ve seen men lose families, jobs and freedom because they couldn’t tame their temper.
God calls us to harness it, not to be ruled by it. A warrior controls his fire through the Spirit’s power.
Training Application
When anger rises, pause. Take a deep breath, pray and ask: Is this righteous anger or pride?
Practice listening before reacting, especially at home. If you’ve wounded others with your temper, confess it and seek forgiveness.
A man’s strength is in his self-control.
Warrior’s Reminder
A warrior’s fire is fierce but focused. It’s never out of control.
Scripture Focus
“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”
James 1:19
