Handling Victory

Victory is more dangerous than defeat.

Defeat humbles you. Victory can intoxicate you.

When you win — a debate, a deal, a battle, an argument — your flesh wants applause. It wants to spike the ball. It wants to remind everyone who doubted you.

Don’t.

Real strength knows how to win quietly.

Handle victory with restraint:

• Give credit to your team.

• Stay disciplined the next day.

• Don’t mock the opponent.

• Go back to work.

The moment you celebrate yourself too long, you stop sharpening your edge.

Scripture focus: “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth.” — Proverbs 27:2

Action:

After your next win, intentionally deflect praise and double your preparation.

Warrior’s Reminder:

If you can’t handle victory, you don’t deserve it.

— Victor
