Do you sometimes feel like you’re just faking it?

Leading, serving, praying — but deep down, thinking, “If they really knew me, they’d leave”? That’s not humility. That’s impostor syndrome — and it’s spiritual warfare.

The enemy whispers:

  • “You’re not really called.”
  • “You’re not who they think you are.”
  • “God may have forgiven you, but you still disgust Him.”

But here’s the truth: The devil can’t steal your calling. So he tries to make you forfeit it. He wants you silent. Small. Doubting yourself every step of the way. Here’s how you fight back:

  1. Name the lie. Say it out loud. Shame loses power in the light.
  2. Stop trying to feel qualified. You weren’t called because you were perfect. You were called because you were willing.
  3. Anchor your identity. Every day speak what’s true:
  • “I am chosen.”
  • “I am covered.”
  • “I am called.”
  • “I am dangerous to darkness — even when I’m limping.”

You’re not leading because you’re flawless. You’re leading because you haven’t quit. That scares hell more than perfection ever will. You’re not an impostor. You’re just in a war for your identity. And you’re still standing. Stand tall, brother.

Scripture Focus

“He has saved us and called us to a holy life — not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace.”
2 Timothy 1:9
