You don’t get stronger by staying comfortable. Resistance builds strength — in your body, your mind and your spirit.
Personal Note:
When I was a Marine, I trained beyond required hours — empty-hand disciplines like Karate, Kenpo, Judo and Jiu-Jitsu.
One time, sparring in the weight room with twin Puerto Rican black belts from New York — scrappy and sharp — I bowed off the mat, walked out, threw up… then came back in, bowed on and kept going.
Nobody said anything — but every Marine saw it.
That unspoken “Hell yeah” from the room? It wasn’t about winning. It was about not quitting.
Mission:
Pick one hard thing today — and do it anyway.
– Cold shower
– Skip a comfort
– Extra workout
– Fast from something weakening you
Scripture for Today:
No discipline seems pleasant at the time…
but it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace.
Hebrews 12:11
Reflection:
– Where am I letting comfort weaken me?
– Where do I need to keep showing up even when it’s hard?
Reminder:
You don’t rise to the occasion.
You fall to your level of training.
