Update: The Predator is in Custody #059

I recently asked for your prayers after my youngest daughter was assaulted by a predator in broad daylight.

Now, I can report: He has been captured.

The U.S. Marshals Service apprehended this man in New Mexico after he tried to run. He is being extradited back to Colorado Springs, where his bail is set at $500,000.

I want to personally thank the Colorado Springs Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Albuquerque Police Department and every law enforcement officer who brought this 36-year-old predator, Brian Williams, into custody.

And to the more than one million people who watched, shared and stood with us — your voice made a difference. In less than two weeks, because of courage, exposure and teamwork, this man is behind bars.

But this fight is bigger than one case. It’s about holding predators accountable. It’s about keeping our communities safe.

We will not stop shining a light until justice is served — not only for my daughter, but for every young woman he harmed.
